DESCRIPCIÓN
Apixaban 2.5 mg, 5 mg
Aplicación
Prevención de la formación de coágulos en sangre (tromboembolismo venoso [TEV] y trombosis venosa profunda [TVP]) en pacientes sometidos a cirugía electiva de reemplazo de cadera o rodilla.
Prevención de la formación de coágulos sanguíneos en el corazón, en pacientes con un latido irregular de su corazón (fibrilación auricular no-valvular FANV) con uno o más factores de riesgo tales como: antecedente de accidente cerebro-vascular (ACV) y/o accidente isquémico transitorio (AIT) previos; edad ≥75 años; hipertensión arterial; diabetes mellitus; insuficiencia cardíaca sintomática (≥ Clase 2 escala NYHA).
Tratamiento de la TVP y del tromboembolismo pulmonar ([TEP] cuando el coágulo está en el pulmón), y prevención de las recurrencias de la TVP y del TEP.

Application
Prevention of blood clot formation (venous thromboembolism [VTE] and deep vein thrombosis [DVT]) in patients undergoing elective hip or knee replacement surgery.
Prevention of blood clot formation in the heart, in patients with an irregular heartbeat (non-valvular atrial fibrillation NVAF) with one or more risk factors such as: history of previous stroke (CVA) and/or transient ischemic attack (TIA); age ≥75 years; high blood pressure; diabetes mellitus; symptomatic heart failure (≥ NYHA Class 2).
Treatment of DVT and pulmonary thromboembolism ([PTE] when the clot is in the lung), and prevention of recurrences of DVT and PTE.
